Sometimes we need help to face certain problems, challenges or difficulties in life.
Psychotherapy is a talking therapy that uses the therapeutic relationship to explore, support, challenge, and increase awareness of what’s going on for us, and our relationships with others; ultimately to live more satisfying lives, more fully in the present.
I‘m an experienced integrative, dialogical therapist with a doctorate in psychotherapy. I have a broad range of experience mostly in the NHS and private practice but also in the third sector. I am UKCP registered and IPTUK accredited.
I work full-time in the NHS during weekdays so my private client slots are in the evenings, Monday to Friday.
I work with adults 18+, individually, and either digitally (video) or face-to-face.
As an integrative psychotherapist and pluralist, I take the view that different counselling and psychotherapy approaches all have something valuable to offer, and I draw on various theoretical and technical ideas depending on what’s needed, being flexible in the dialogical context. This means the therapy varies depending on the particular needs of each person.
I have a post-qualification training and accreditation in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), an evidence-based approach that’s particularly helpful for depression.
I take an inclusive, non-pathologising view of gender and sexuality and recognise the broad range of gender, sexual, and relationship diversities (GSRD).
I am a member of Metanoia, registered with the HIPS section of UKCP, and accredited with IPTUK.
